Monday Things // Vol 1

Happy Monday, everyone. What are your plans for this week? I think I have work shifts straight until Sunday which is sort of a bummer, but I’m hoping to get all the hours I can in order to save up for Jaime’s upcoming visit here in Hawaii. I have (too many) things planned and it all seems real now that he sent me his flight details and itinerary. I squealed and jumped when I saw his (surprise) email, you’ve no idea.

Oh, and Monday Things. Just so I have something to write for you guys each week. It’s a random list of my current weekly favorites, reads, among other things. I hope you like them.

10 Spooky Stories From Hawaii. Just in time for Halloween season.

Noah sent this to me days ago. Apparently, this is how life is like when you live in one of the most famous bookstores in the world. Aah, one of my many life dreams.

The AHS premiere last week seems underwhelming. I hope the story lines are better this season; we have interesting, complex characters so far. Murder House and Coven are still my top favorites, even though Coven had unnecessary subplots (a corporate company of witch hunters, really?) that I feel like they basically stopped trying towards the end of the season.

Made my boyfriend watch the first Alice in Wonderland film (1903). I think he didn’t like it.

$69 flights to Europe!!!!!!!!!! I am flailing as I type.

The Nostalgia Machine is perfect for the old souls in all of us.

This instagram filled with curations of old and vintage school supplies is what my life is about right now. I sent this to my good friend Jayne and she cried.

What’s new in the Potter-verse? Severus Snape smells of bitterness and old shoes  and Sirius Black (my love) was born on November 3rd !!!

I wasted about two hours of my life just scrolling through this and laughing so hard I could feel my stomach split. No regrets.

HBO is releasing yet another promising series set in the 70s about the record music industry. There is no way I can’t get excited about this. I just wish they’d cancel Game of Thrones already.

Cara likes to read, write and laze around in her spare time. She goes into trance whenever she walks into bookstores and antique shops. She hopes to write about many adventures she'll have one day.

Hi Shannon! Thank you so much. 🙂 And yes, I hope this season won’t disappoint too, even if we didn’t get Taissa Farmiga and (the queen) Jessica Lange.

$69 flights to Europe? If I could, I would drop everything and hop over the pond to explore! I’ve always wanted to go!

Same here, Chelsie. I’d just drop everything and book a one-way ticket and go have a lifetime trip! 🙂
